The 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup is entering the final week of the pool table matches. The nations are now eager to book a spot in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, others are playing to finish the tournament after having crashed out from the tournament. Here are the betting tips.

Australia v Afghanistan

With the semi-final spot on the card, Afghanistan knows winning the last two matches on the pool table means, their dream will be achieved. So far in the tournament, they have become a surprise package defeating England, and Pakistan in the process. In waiting is Australia desperately in need of a victory to progress to the knockout round. The match remains crucial for both sides and is expected to provide the fireworks.

England v Netherlands

This is much of a dead rubber clash with England set to battle with Netherlands on Wednesday. Both sides are having a terrible tournament and have no ambitions of progressing to the next round. It is difficult to point out what has gone wrong for current world Champions England as they sit at the bottom of the table with one victory in seven games. Netherlands on the other hand has lightened up fans with that win against South Africa. But nothing concrete to build on that afterward. Both sides would want to finish the campaign on a high note though.

New Zealand v Sri Lanka

The equation is simple for New Zealand – a victory for them will seal a semi-final spot for them. It won’t be easy for them though as having suffered four straight losses now. Having started the tournament brightly with four wins, Kiwis are affected by injuries which has seen their momentum stumbling now. But as the experience in the campaign suggests would manage to hold pressure to record a passage to the next round. For Sri Lanka – this has been a campaign to forget.

South Africa v Afghanistan

South Africa will quickly want to forget the terrible loss they suffered against India. It was an embarrassing one, especially for a side with ambitions of winning the tournament. Now playing the last match of the pool table, Proteas will want to end it on a high. Meeting a nation with a goal of semi-finals in mind, Afghanistan would want to record a memorable victory to progress. So this match is crucial for the Asian side.

Australia v Bangladesh

Australia have shown some signs of being the favorites to win the tournament even though they have been lacking some sparks in some areas. Meeting Bangladesh, which is already out of the tournament, will want to improve the confidence heading to the knockout stages. A victory here will lift their morale boost and gain momentum going forward. The 2015 Champions will in the process want to avoid meeting up with India in the last four even though the match is likely to happen.

England v Pakistan

Over the years, the clash between England and Pakistan has provided fireworks and made fans come back for more. This time, the two nations meet once again in the crucial World Cup match especially as it matters most for Pakistan who have regrouped much in the last matches. So a win for them will see them book a semi-final spot. For England – to finish with a win will be encouraging but it would be hard to see that happening. But history is on the cards and except a much-contested affair.

India v Netherlands

Throughout the tournament, India have been ruthless to all the opponents they have faced. No wonder, India remains the unbeaten side in all matches played so far. And there is no stopping them. Looking to close the campaign unbeaten will meet up with Netherlands, who have performed well considering where they come from. In this match though might see India giving a run to players to give them a run in the competition.
