After suffering their first defeat of the season away at Liverpool last weekend, Manchester City will aim to get back to winning ways and continue their impressive start when they host Brighton on Saturday. Pep Guardiola’s side completed the double over the Seagulls last season with a combined 7-1 scoreline.
Real Madrid v Sevilla (Saturday)
Real Madrid will look to make it four consecutive wins in LaLiga with victory over 12th-placed Sevilla on Saturday. Carlo Ancelotti’s side completed the double over the Rojiblancos last season, winning 2-1 at the Bernabeu and 3-2 at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Villarreal v Almeria (Sunday)
Villarreal will be looking to continue their impressive home form when they entertain Almeria in LaLiga on Sunday. The hosts are unbeaten on their ground, winning six of their seven games across all competitions. The visitors, on the other hand, are yet to win on the road with four losses from five.
AC Milan v Monza (Saturday)
AC Milan will look to make it four consecutive wins in the Serie A with a victory over newly-promoted Monza on Saturday. The visitors have registered just one win on the road along with three defeats and a draw.
AS Roma v Napoli (Sunday)
Luciano Spalletti’s high-flying Napoli side faces a stern test in the Serie A on Sunday when they travel to the Stadio Olimpico to face Jose Mourinho’s Roma. Napoli have been excellent this season sitting at the top of the league table, while Roma have also impressed and are just four points behind the Azzurri.
Bochum v Union Berlin (Sunday)
It’s top versus bottom in the Bundesliga this weekend when table-toppers Union Berlin take on bottom-of-the-log Bochum. Union Berlin have won their last five games in a row across all competitions without conceding a goal.
Dortmund v Stuttgart (Saturday)
Dortmund have found life after Erling Haaland to be difficult as they find themselves eighth in the Bundesliga standings and without a win in their last three matches. They have, however, performed much better at home with back-to-back wins over Hoffenheim and Schalke, before holding Bayern to a draw. Edin Terzic’s side will fancy themselves against 14th-placed Stuttgart who are yet to win on the road this term.
Troyes v Lorient (Sunday)
Following a disappointing goalless draw at home to Reims last time out, Lorient will be looking to get back to winning ways as they look to keep the pressure on leaders Paris Saint-Germain. Prior to last week’s result, Lorient were riding a six-match winning streak. Troyes, on the other hand, are winless in three matches and find themselves in the bottom half of the table.
Spartak Moscow v Khimki (Sunday)
Second-placed Spartak Moscow host 15th-placed Khimki in the Russian Premier Liga on Sunday looking to continue their impressive form. The hosts have won four and lost one of their five home games this season, while the visitors have lost five and won just once of their six encounters played on the road.
