Barcelona returns to LaLiga action on Saturday looking to pick up from their pre-international break form as they travel to Mallorca. Xavi’s side have won five league games in a row and have scored a staggering 18 goals while conceding just once. Should the Catalan giants beat Mallorca this weekend, it will be a 10th straight victory over the Palma-based outfit.
Bayern Munich v Bayer Leverkusen (Friday)
Having gone four league games without a win, pressure will be on Julian Nagelsmann and his side’s ability to turn things around. Fortunately for the Bavarians, they host a Bayer Leverkusen side languishing just above the relegation zone.
Cologne v Dortmund (Saturday)
Borussia Dortmund will look to prolong their impressive start to the Bundesliga season on Saturday when they travel to face Cologne at the Rhein Energie Stadium. Edin Terzic’s side are second in the table, just two points behind leaders Union Berlin. Cologne on the flip side are ninth in the table and winless in two games.
Napoli v Torino (Saturday)
Napoli welcomes Torino to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Serie A on Saturday. Luciano Spalletti’s side are currently enjoying a five-game winning streak across all competitions which includes victories over Lazio, Liverpool, Spezia, Rangers, and AC Milan. Torino, on the other hand, have lost three of their last four in the league, including back-to-back defeats away from home.
Verona v Udinese (Monday)
Udinese will head into their game against 17th-placed Verona with victory in their sights as they aim to prolong their impressive start to the Serie A season. Udinese are third in the table, just a point behind leaders Napoli, and are currently enjoying a five-game winning streak.
Angers v Marseille (Friday)
With their sights set on challenging for the Ligue 1 title, Marseille looks to continue their impressive start to the season when they travel to face 14th-placed Angers at the Raymond Kopa Stadium. Marseille are second in the table, just two points behind leaders PSG and remain unbeaten with six wins from their opening eight games.
Strasbourg v Rennes (Saturday)
Following a creditable draw away at Marseille before the international break, Rennes will be confident of picking up maximum points against a Strasbourg side languishing in the relegation zone. The hosts remain the only side in Ligue 1 yet to win a league game this season.
