Matches Value Bets

It’s that time of the week again when we run through a selection of the most exciting matches taking place this weekend and offer our best bets and value picks.

Tottenham v Nottingham Forest (Saturday)

Following their disappointing midweek display against AC Milan where they crashed out of the Champions League, Tottenham will look to respond in winning fashion when they host Nottingham Forest in Premier League action on Saturday. Spurs have won their last three home games in the league and should see off their struggling opponents.

Fulham v Arsenal (Sunday)

Arsenal will be hoping to maintain their five-point lead over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table. But standing in the way of Mikel Arteta’s side is a Fulham team that have punched above their weight. Marco Silva’s men are no pushovers, and the Gunners will need to be at their best.

Real Madrid v Espanyol (Saturday)

With nine points behind leaders Barcelona, Carlo Ancelotti’s team know that they cannot afford to drop any more points if they want to ensure that the LaLiga trophy stays in Madrid. Los Blancos are heavy favourites to see off Espanyol at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium where they are yet to taste defeat in the league this term.

Sevilla v Almeria (Sunday)

It’s been a season to forget for Sevilla who face the scary possibility of going down this season with just 25 points after 24 games. Jorge Sampaoli’s side are on a three-game losing streak and find themselves just above the drop zone. Their opponents Almeria are a place below them on the La Liga standings but level on points, making this relegation six-pointer an exciting watch.

Napoli v Atalanta (Saturday)

Runaway Serie A leaders Napoli will be looking to bounce back to winning ways after going down 1-0 at home to Lazio in their last match. Luciano Spalletti’s men welcome Atalanta to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Saturday, searching for a third straight league victory over the Bergamo-based side.

Juventus v Sampdoria (Sunday)

Juventus’ three-game winning streak came to an end in a 1-0 defeat away at Roma last time out. But the Old Lady will look to bounce back strongly and claim maximum points against a Sampdoria side winless in 10 games and languishing at 19th in the points table.

Schalke v Borussia Dortmund (Saturday)

Borussia Dortmund will be looking for an immediate return to winning ways after losing 2-0 at Chelsea and crashing out of the Champions League. Edin Terzic’s side have won their last eight games in the Bundesliga and will be confident of seeing off a Schalke side who languish near the foot of the table.

Freiburg v Hoffenheim (Sunday)

Following three games without a win across all competitions, Freiburg will be desperate to get back to winning ways. The Breisgau club, who lie fifth in the Bundesliga table, host relegation-threatened Hoffenheim who are on a seven-game losing streak.

Marseille v Strasbourg (Sunday)

Following two straight defeats at the Orange Velodrome, Marseille will be aiming to bounce back to winning ways in front of their home support when they host 16th-placed Strasbourg on Saturday. Marseille won this fixture 4-0 last season and will be confident of another dominant performance.

Lorient v Troyes (Sunday)

Lorient have struggled to maintain their early season form but will be confident of securing all three points against a Troyes side languishing in the relegation zone after only four wins from 26 league games so far.

Value bet: Lorient to win to zero
