Newcastle v Crystal Palace (Saturday)

Newcastle United have just one win to their name this term, but you’d never say, based on their performances this campaign. They lost right at the death in midweek against Liverpool, and held Manchester City to a 3-3 draw in their last home tie. Newcastle United are also unbeaten at home after beating Nottingham Forest in their opening encounter. Crystal Palace are yet to win on the road so far.

Tottenham v Fulham (Saturday)

There’s a London derby to look forward to in the Premier League this weekend as Tottenham entertain Fulham on Saturday. Antonio Conte’s side have won both of their home games so far, with Harry Kane in exceptional form for Spurs. Fulham have been one of the surprise packages and have certainly punched above their weight in the early stages of the season. Aleksandar Mitrovic has notched up five goals already and can cause the Tottenham backline plenty of headaches.

Celta Vigo v Cadiz (Friday)

Celta Vigo have the league’s most favourable fixture as they host Cadiz on Friday night. The hosts come off the back of their first victory of the season, winning 1-0 at Girona. The visitors are rock bottom in the standings after losing all three of their fixtures to date. Cadiz are also yet to find the back of the net this season.

Villarreal v Elche (Sunday)

Villarreal play a home game in the Spanish LaLiga for the first time when they host Elche on Sunday. From their three matches, the Yellow Submarine have won two and drew just a single game this term. The hosts are also yet to concede a goal. Elche are winless in the league and lost 3-0 to Real Betis in their only away fixture of the campaign.

Union Berlin v Bayern Munich (Saturday)

An early top-of-the-table clash in the German Bundesliga sees Bayern Munich travel to face Union Berlin. Both teams are joint-leaders on 10 points each after four matches and are into double figures in terms of goals scored. They do, however, seem to be something special about this Bayern team on the road after they’ve smashed 13 goals past their opposition in just two matches. You get the feeling that this could be another high scoring affair.

Bayer Leverkusen v Freiburg (Saturday)

Bayer Leverkusen have had a difficult start to the new campaign, losing three of their opening four ties. They did, however, beat Mainz 3-0 in their last game in the Bundesliga, earning their first victory of the season. Freiburg’s form is very much reversed in that sense as they’ve won three of their four fixtures.

Monza v Atalanta (Monday)

Monza, who are bottom of the Italian Serie A, face Atalanta, who sit pretty at the top of the pile. The hosts have lost all four of their encounters and have conceded 11 times, being the only club in Serie A to concede into double figures. Atalanta are yet to concede on the road this term and have only dropped points once this season – against the champions, AC Milan.

Cremonese v Sassuolo (Sunday)

Sassuolo will be hoping to inflict further damage on Cremonese’s season with the home side failing to keep up in the top flight this term. They’ve lost all four of their matches this campaign, however, three of those ties have been away from home. Sassuolo are in decent form after holding AC Milan to a stalemate last time out. They’re unbeaten in three games and will prove tough to beat.

Lyon v Angers (Saturday)

In Ligue 1 action on Saturday, Lyon hope to keep up their unbeaten run of form when they host Angers. The home team have won all three of their fixtures at their turf, winning convincingly in each of those matches. Angers have lost three games in a row and are sitting in 19th place. It seems like it could be a long season for the visitors who look set for their fourth consecutive defeat.

Nantes v Paris Saint-Germain (Saturday)

Paris Saint-Germain will be looking to continue their 100% record on the road, where they have played three and won all fixtures, scoring a staggering 15 goals. In that run, the champions have conceded just the single goal. Nantes have been inconsistent in their performances and sit mid-table in 10th spot. They’ve struggled for goals this term and will find it difficult to break down a resilient PSG defence.
