West Ham v Tottenham betting FORM

In match-week 4 of the new Premier League season, West Ham host Tottenham in a London derby at The London Stadium. The Hammers have endured a turbulent start to the season, losing their opening two games heavily and crashing out of the Carabao Cup at the hands of Wolves. However, a convincing away win at Nottingham Forest eased some of the pressure on manager Graham Potter.

In contrast, Tottenham Hotspur made a strong start under new boss Thomas Frank, securing wins against Burnley and Manchester City. However, they stumbled just before the international break with a home defeat to Bournemouth.

WHAT ARE THE BEST ODDS ON West Ham v Tottenham?

The Spreadex Sports fixed odds Match Odds betting prices have Tottenham as 11/10 favourites to win the derby while our 2 Up early pay out market, which pays out when a team goes two goals up, has Spurs at Evens.

West Ham meanwhile are 23/10 outsiders to grab all three points (21/10 on our 2 Up market), with the draw at 5/2.

In the last 10 league meetings between the sides where West Ham played at home, West Ham have had the slight upper hand winning four of those encounters compared to three wins for Tottenham and three draws.

Last season the two sides played out a 1-1 draw at The London Stadium with Wilson Odobert opening the scoring before Jarrod Bowen equalised for the Hammers. This has also been the same scoreline the last three times West Ham have hosted Tottenham! This scoreline to be repeated for a fourth time is priced at 6/1 with Spreadex.

West Ham v Tottenham FOOTBALL SPREAD BETTING PRICES

Our football spread betting prices have the Goal Supremacy as Tottenham/West Ham 0.3 - 0.5. This means a 'buy' bet at 0.5 would need Spurs to win by at least a goal to start turning a profit (e.g. one goal win would win 0.5 x your stake, two goal win 1.5 times your stake, three goal win 2.5 your stake etc.).

A 0.3 'sell' bet would need either a draw or West Ham win to turn a profit (e.g. draw would win 0.3 your stake, one goal West Ham win 1.3 your stake etc.).

Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.9 - 3.1. So a 3.1 'buy' bet would need at least four goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. A 2.9 'sell' bet would need two goals or less to be scored in the match to turn a profit.

Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 3.1 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 3.1 times your stake if the match ended 0-0. In the 0.5 'buy' Supremacy bet example above, if the game ended a draw the bet would lose 0.5 x your stake. If West Ham won by one goal then it would lose 1.5 x your stake etc. And in the 0.3 'sell' Supremacy example above, the bet would lose 0.7 x your stake on a 1-0 Spurs win, 1.7 x your stake on a 2-0 Spurs win etc.

WEST HAM v TOTTENHAM betting specials and price boosts

Eight of the last ten matches between the sides have seen both teams score. You can back both sides to find the back of the net at 8/13 or 13/10 if you fancy either team to keep a clean sheet.

The last three games between the two sides at The London Stadium have ended in score draws, and you can back a repeat at 3/1 on Saturday.

West Ham started their last home game quickly when Lucas Paquetá opened the scoring in just the 6th minute. Ahead of this one, West Ham's 1st Match Goal has a spread of 52.5-55.5. That means if West Ham were to score again in the 6th minute a 'sell' bet at 52.5 would return 46.5x your stake.

Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. So while a 'sell' bet at 52.5 would win 46.5 times your stake for an outcome of a 6th minute West Ham goal, it would however lose 37.5x your stake if there was not a West Ham goal scored so be sure to set your stake size accordingly.
