The PGA Championship is usually golf’s third major of the year but in these times it becomes the sports first. The event kicks off a run of three majors over four months. It’s been 13 months since the last major, Shane Lowry won the Open Championship Royal Portrush if you can remember so far back.

The PGA Championship will take place at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco. The field of 156 players will feature 48 of the top 50 players in the world rankings, including all of the top 10 oh and Tiger Woods. That list includes newly crowned world number one Justin Thomas, who overtook Jon Rahm at the top spot following his win at last week’s WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational.

Brooks Koepka

Brooks Koepka could win his third US PGA Championship in-a-row. He found some form after his bruising tied second in the FedEx St Jude last week but his game wasn’t absolutely at its best and his putting, in particular, is still a concern. The fact that he hasn’t won anywhere since he won this back in May last year is a negative too.

Koepka to win at 9.00

Justin Thomas

Following his win last week, Justin Thomas jumped to number one in the world rankings again. Thomas lifted his only major in PGA Championship at Quail Hollow and he’s a very prolific performer, now in search of his fourth win of the season and his 14th PGA Tour title. Thomas is looking for back to back wins for the second time in his career.

PGA Champions only. #PGAChamp pic.twitter.com/xHmJAYO0jz

— PGA Championship (@PGAChampionship) August 4, 2020

Course Details
