Italy were crowned European Champions for the second time after they beat England on penalties in a thrilling final. It was a thrilling end to what was an entertaining tournament that saw 142 goals scored in 51 matches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There were some outstanding individual performances throughout the tournament which is why we’ve put together the Best XI for Euro 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s hard to believe that Donnarumma is still a free agent and even harder to believe that the Italian shot-stopper is still only 22 years old. He had a great tournament, conceding just four goals in the seven matches that he played. The 22-year-old failed to concede a goal in the group stages. His performances in the KO stages of the tournament are why he was named Player of the Tournament after fantastic performances against Belgium, Spain and England in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
