Wednesday night was a night of records for Mamelodi Sundowns. Not only did they set a new PSL record for unbeaten league games, but they also equalled Chiefs\u2019 record for wins from the start of a PSL season and saw the youngest-ever PSL goalscorer in the league. This prompted a lot of questions and pondering on what records Sundowns can still aim for. We dug through the history books to look at 10 records that Rhulani Mokwena and his team may need to print and frame in the dressing room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Longest Winning Run From The Start Of A PSL Season<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

8 – 2014 Kaizer Chiefs won each of their first eight-games. Sundowns have equalled the record, but still need one more win to hold that record\u00a0outright.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

21 – Kaizer Chiefs kept 21 clean sheets throughout the 2003\/4 season, the most of any PSL side in a full season. No other side has ever kept 20+, including teams that played 34 games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
