Premier League Top Scorers Predicted For 2025/26



Six games into the new Premier League season and there is already a clear favourite for the Golden Boot. Erling Haaland has scored 8 goals already and has twice the amount of the next highest scorers. With the Norwegian striker looking close to his best form again, the question may become not who wins the Golden Boot, but how many does Haaland finish the season with?

Spreadex Sports has updated their season player goals and assists predictions, revealing the most likely goal getters for each of the big six teams. The predictions are listed as a spread, with a low - high range.

*Currently injured players are not included in Spreadex’s predictions.

Arsenal

  • Top Scorer: New signing Victor Gyökeres has had a steady but not spectacular start to life in the Premier League. With 3 goals so far this season, he’s predicted to be Arsenal’s main threat and end the season with 17.5-19 goals.
  • Other Contributors: Bukayo Saka will be hoping to avoid more injuries, if he can he is predicted to score 9.75 – 10.75 goals. Rice and Zubimendi are both predicted 3.75 – 4.5 goals. Rice is also predicted 7 – 8 assists, primarily due to his elite corner deliveries.
  • Wildcard: Gabriel Martinelli scored 15 league goals in 2022-23, but his form and confidence has dropped in recent years. He recently scored a late equalizer against Man City. If Martinelli currently predicted 4.25 – 5 for the season can get amongst the goals again that would boost Arsenal’s title hopes.

Chelsea

  • Top Scorer: With Cole Palmer hampered by injuries, Chelsea must rely on other players to step up. The most likely looks like Joao Pedro, a new signing who has impressed so far. Pedro is predicted to get 12 – 13.5 goals this season.
  • Other Contributors: Wide players Neto, Garnacho and Estevao are not consistent scorers, but are predicted to chip in. Neto is a regular starter and predicted 6.25 – 7.25. While signings Garnacho and Estevao are predicted 4.5 - 5.5 goals each.
  • Wildcard: Enzo Fernandez has become a key player for Chelsea, however he doesn’t always look like a £100m player that he cost. He has started this season getting forward into the box more and is predicted 7 - 8 league goals.

Liverpool

  • Top Scorer: Liverpool has a busy summer, signing new forwards. But Mo Salah is still the main man. A prediction of 13.5 – 15 goals is a big drop from last season. But reflects that Liverpool have other players who can score more goals.
  • Other Contributors: New signings Eiktike and Isak is impressive striker depth, both will score goals but competition with each other may limit their numbers. Isak is predicted 13 – 14.5 goals. While Eiktike is predicted 10.75 – 11.75 goals. Cody Gakpo’s also predicted to contribute 7.75 – 8.75 goals.
  • Wildcard: Florian Wirtz is yet to show his best form this season and has no goals for Liverpool, but Wirtz is an elite player and is predicted to get goals 6.25 – 7.25 and assists 6-7 once he finds his feet in the Premier League.

 

Manchester City

  • Top Scorer: No surprises that Erling Haaland is City’s primary source of goals. Haaland has more goals than games so far this season. After a 22 goal season last year, Haaland is predicted to get 27 - 29 goals in 2025/26.
  • Other Contributors: Phil Foden, Tijani Reijnders and Oscar Bobb have all scored already this season, and they are expected to provide goals from midfield. Foden is predicted 8 – 9 league goals.
  • Wildcard: Jeremy Doku has been a frustrating player for City, electric but not a clinical finisher. His first Premier League two seasons with City have only ended with 3 goals. He has started the season and well is predicted 8.25-9.25 assists this season.

Manchester United

  • Top Scorer: Bruno Fernandes is one of few class players left at United. United’s top scorer in the league in the last two seasons. Fernandes is also predicted 8-9 assists and takes set pieces. However, he has missed two penalties already this season.
  • Other Contributors: United invested heavily in attackers in the summer. Mbeumo and Cunha were signed off the back of impressive seasons. Their numbers are predicted to drop though, with Mbeumo 8-9 league goals, and Cunha 7 - 8. Joshua Zirkzee is predicted to score 3.5 – 4.25 based on limited playing time.
  • Wildcard: New striker Benjamin Šeško is still young and not the finished article. United will be hoping he can develop and become their next great striker. He’s predicted to score 8.5 – 9.5 goals in his first season.

Tottenham

  • Top Scorer: Richarlison was linked with a move away from Spurs in the summer. But he’s found himself as Thomas Frank’s first choice striker in the early stages of the season. Scoring goals in a World Cup year, Richarlison is predicted 10.25 – 11.25 goals this season.
  • Other Contributors: Johnson, Simons and Kudus are all attacking midfielders with quality. Johnson is predicted 7 - 8 goals over the season. While Simons and Kudus are predicted 5.5 – 6.5 goals each.
  • Wildcard: Mathys Tel’s move to Spurs hasn’t worked out so far, left out the Champions League squad. Tel looks short of confidence, reflected with a prediction of 3.25 – 4 goals. Tel will need to take his chance in the Premier League when he gets it and fight to become a regular for Frank.
